Alliance between American Express TBS and SAP
Nexia International is delighted to announce that its major US
member, American Express Tax and Business Services, has struck a
national development and marketing alliance with SAP, the world's
third largest business software developer.
Germany-based SAP, known for building enterprise software for very
large businesses, has recruited Amex TBS to help launch the US edition
of a business-management software for enterprises with as few as
10 employees.
'Together we have big dreams,' Amex managing director, Gerry L.
Golub said during the rollout ceremony. The companies are joining
forces on Business One, which SAP calls 'an affordable and easy
to implement' enterprise system for companies with from 10-250 employees.
SAP itself is establishing a channel for its horizontal version
of Business One, while Amex's New York office is charged with developing
one for its vertical versions and with providing the customer and
reseller support for those versions.
Consulting operations managing director, Harvey S. Goss, pledged,
'We will have coverage in all the major markets.' Amex plans to
add Business One practices to its four offices that already perform
technology consulting - Chicago, New York, Baltimore - Washington
DC and Dublin, Ohio.
