The accountancy and consultancy firms Horlings Brouwer & Horlings in Amsterdam, KroeseWevers in Enschede and Koenen and Co in Limburg have formed an alliance. The three firms are going to collaborate under the name Nexia Nederland, while retaining their own name, identity and independence. Nexia Nederland has 560 employees and 17 offices in the south, east and west of the Netherlands.

Joining forces will enable the three firms to extend their qualitative service provision at regional, national and international levels. Clients will benefit from the advantages of expansion, but will enjoy the same personal approach and involvement provided by an independent regional firm of accountants.

Further internationalisation of businesses, new legislation and the need for innovation capacity to develop new accountants’ services and products are the reasons for cooperation. “Together we have more clout. We can continue to develop and exchange our expertise, make joint facility investments and compete for larger tenders. As Nexia Nederland, we are a sizeable organisation covering almost the entire Netherlands. This will not only give us access to new target groups, but to the personnel market, too, all the more because we are part of an appealing global network”, explains Constant Scholten, chairman of Nexia Nederland.

Nexia Nederland was launched on 1 October; the head office will be in Amsterdam.
