Kumar Aravinda, CST Nexia's senior Audit and Assurance partner, has been appointed as one of 12 members to the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountant's Professional Practices Board (PPB).
The appointment follows nomination from the Institute in recognition of both Kumar's and CST Nexia's professional status, ability and experience within the profession.
The PPB exists to formulate Institute policy on ethical requirements and professional standards for members, as well as regulate the quality and performance of professional work carried out by members, relating in particular to the performance of auditing and assurance engagements.
The other members of the board include audit and assurance partners from Ernst & Young, KPMG, Deloittes, Hayes Knight, BDO Spicers, as well as non-practitioner members from the Office of the Auditor General, Massey University, and Council members.
